Safety Specialist
Dr. Terry Robinson is a dedicated and accomplished educational leader with over two decades of service in public education. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as a Master of Education Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri State University, where he graduated cum laude with a major in History and a minor in Geography. He maintains 7–12 Social Studies and 9–12 Principal certifications in the state of Missouri.
From 2017 to 2025, Dr. Robinson served as Superintendent of the Tipton R-VI School District, where he managed an $8 million annual budget and led numerous instructional, facility, and community initiatives. Under his leadership, the district achieved historic financial stability, ending the 2023–2024 school year with a 40% fund balance—the highest in district history—and completed bond projects on time despite inflation and rising construction costs. He launched a districtwide early childhood program, created a cadet teaching program to cultivate future educators, and developed a broadcast and podcast studio for students in grades 6–12.
Before his tenure at Tipton, Dr. Robinson served as Principal of Mexico High School, where he expanded curricular offerings, added a JROTC program in partnership with the Missouri Military Academy, and implemented Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBiS) with measurable results. His earlier leadership at Miller R-2 School District and Hillcrest High School in Springfield reflected his commitment to innovation, instructional excellence, and shared leadership.
In addition to his administrative roles, Dr. Robinson contributed to academic scholarship, publishing on literacy and professional learning communities. He consistently prioritized a student-focused approach to leadership, believing that strong school culture, clear communication, and collaborative practices built the foundation for sustained success.
